February Shmebuary

Yeah, so if anyone has kids, you know that when you plan on being out of town for a week, it takes a week before you leave to prepare and pack, then you're gone a week, and once you're home, it takes another week to unpack and put all the discombobulated pieces of life back together in the time slots they belong=) Februay has only 28 days. Now you know how I spent them.

With that little disclaimer, here are my February pictures...

Weston has developed quite the little personality in his now 18 Months. His communication is improving, but that doesn't mean he still isn't the loudest kid on the planet when he's angry or doesn't get his way. Favorite word: Cookie...pronounced Coooooo-Coo-ewyWEE, with a very high intonation on the end--always said in expectation and excitement. His whole face lights up. Love it. Makes me smile every time. I almost hope he never learns to say it correctly...almost.

Cutest thing: Instead of learning to say yes, he now simply gives you this little mischievious grin and nods his head up and down very purposefully. Steals your heart.

He thinks he's big stuff walking everywhere, and he especially thinks he's cute when he runs away from you, squealing with a devilish grin on his face the entire time, hands thrown high in the air in escape. He is my little escape artist for sure AND stunt man. He will climb anything. Or in this case, climb into anything! This is what I found when he got real quiet in the bathroom...

And it's stuff like this with him ALL the time. People wonder why I don't blog anymore. Because if I steal 5 minutes to myself, that's what inevitably will happen or something to the same effect.

Meanwhile, his sister is usually a partner in crime or quite often the mastermind behind the crime, but she keeps her fingers clean of the actual dirty work. Boy! Do I have a dynamic duo on my hands. LOVE. EVERY. MINUTE. She is all girl these days. Imagination and busyness, games and dress up, dolls and make believe. She's all preschooler and no more toddler. I see her understanding growing every day, and I pray that I catch every teachable moment and fill it with something that points her to my Lord--the One I crave so deeply to be her Lord. She is listening, and she is taking all of life in. I relish every question and every adventure she concocks. We are a busy three, but at least we are all fully present and enjoying everything we do together=)

The only other two pictures I have from this month were not even taken by me. Thanks CA for helping take care of my girl while we attended Chick-fil-A Seminar in San Antonio, TX this year. It was so nice to have a night out with the whole fam too. Love these pics!

That's all for February folks. Look forward to some new Sugar Snap Photography pictures soon! =)
